So I was just on FB and one of my friends needed some encouragement. I posted the scripture.....she asked for a word from God for her broken spirit.
Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
The bible also says...2 Corinthians 4:15-17 "15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;"
The Lord is continually renewing our strength day by day....when we go through trials we have to know that it is God who is testing our faith.(James 1) The Lord is working with me on this and I am just continually praying that I go through the way He would have me to.
But while I was talking to her however; it came into my mind that God is the only constant in our lives. "Nouns" let us down....people, places, and things.... They are always changing. I told her sometimes we feel like if it's not one thing it's another. The person you believe that you can depend on the most will let you down unintentionally because it is not in them to be perfect. That one thing you have been waiting for and putting all hope in doesn't come through and now your life is in shambles. We should not live like this. In the end we can't depend on anybody or anything but God. He truly is our all and all.
